This is your anchor piece. A complete, SEO-optimized blog post of 1,500 to 3,000 words that targets a specific keyword and answers a real question. Write this first and make it genuinely useful.

YouTube Video Script
Pull the key points from your blog post and restructure them as a talking-head or screen-share script. Teach the same concepts in a conversational tone, not by reading your post word-for-word.
Open with a hook that states the problem, deliver three to five main points, and close with a CTA pointing to your blog post. Your blog post outline becomes your video outline. Read my YouTube marketing guide for the full breakdown.
2–3 YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Reels
Pull out three short moments from your blog post. Extract the hook (a surprising stat or contrarian take). Pick one key tip (the most actionable takeaway). Create your CTA (a 15-second pitch).
Each clip should be 30 to 60 seconds and feel native to vertical video. I cover the platform specifics in my TikTok & Instagram guide.
Email Newsletter
Your email subscribers don’t want a 2,000-word essay. They want a 200-to-300-word summary with a reason to click through.
Write a punchy subject line. Share the one insight that will make them curious. Link back to the full article. Check my affiliate marketing email templates for inspiration.
Social Media Carousel (5–7 Slides)
Take the five to seven main subheadings from your blog post. Each one becomes a slide. Slide one is your headline and hook. Slides two through six are the insights. The final slide is your CTA.
Use Canva with a branded template. You can produce a carousel in ten minutes. This works especially well for promoting affiliate links without being pushy.
Quora or Reddit Answer
Search Quora or Reddit for a question related to your blog topic. Write a genuine, helpful answer using knowledge from your article. Mention that you wrote a full guide and link to your blog post.
This is not spam. It’s contributing to the conversation. Your answer should stand on its own even without the link. This is one of the most underrated free traffic strategies.
Pinterest Pin
Create a vertical pin (1000 × 1500 pixels) with your blog headline and one compelling stat or quote from the article. Link it back to the blog post.
Pinterest is a search engine, not a social network. Pins can drive traffic for months or even years. One blog post can generate three to five different pin variations targeting different keywords.
That’s seven pieces from one blog post. Pieces two through seven take 60 to 90 minutes combined.
Compare that to spending 60 to 90 minutes creating one additional piece from scratch.

Extract Key Points
Read through your published blog post and highlight five to seven key takeaways. Find one surprising stat or claim. Find your strongest one-liner.
Copy these into a separate document. This is your “repurposing brief” — the raw material for everything that follows. Paste your blog post into Claude or ChatGPT and ask for the key takeaways. I explain this workflow in my AI for affiliate marketing guide.
Draft the Video Script
Write a loose script or bullet-point outline for a YouTube video. Hook (30 seconds), main content (5–8 minutes), CTA (30 seconds).
Then pull out three moments that work as standalone shorts. Just get the scripts ready. You can record later.
Write the Email & Quora Answer
Write a 200-word email summary with a subject line and one link to the blog post. Find one relevant Quora question and write a 150-to-250-word answer with a link to your article.
Both are fast because you’re summarizing, not creating. Use your swipe file for email subject line ideas.
Build the Carousel & Pinterest Pin
Open Canva. Use your branded template. Turn each takeaway into a carousel slide. Create one to two Pinterest pin variations with the headline and a key stat.
Export everything. Schedule the carousel in your social media scheduler. Upload the pins to Pinterest with optimized descriptions.
Schedule & Queue Everything
Schedule the email in your autoresponder. Queue the carousel post. Upload the Quora answer. Add the Pinterest pin to the right boards.
If you’ve recorded your videos, upload those too. Otherwise add the scripts to your recording batch for the week. Every piece has a publish date and a platform.
Total time: 90 minutes. You now have seven pieces of content where you previously had one.

I’ve made every single one of these. Let me save you the trouble.
- Posting the same content everywhere without adapting. Copying your blog post into LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter is lazy syndication. Algorithms punish it. Each piece needs to feel native to that platform.
- Ignoring platform culture. A formal blog post doesn’t work as a TikTok script. A casual Reddit comment doesn’t work as an email. Study how top creators on each platform communicate and match that tone.
- Forgetting CTAs on repurposed pieces. Every piece of repurposed content needs a purpose. If you’re not linking back to your blog post or affiliate offer, you’re just creating content for content’s sake.
- Repurposing weak content. If the original blog post is thin or generic, repurposing just amplifies the weakness. Only repurpose content you’re genuinely proud of. Fix the original first if it needs work.
- Trying to do all seven pieces on day one. Start with two or three repurposed formats. Master those. Then add more. Going from zero to a full 1-to-7 system in one week causes overwhelm.
- Not tracking what works. If you repurpose to seven platforms but never check which ones drive actual traffic, you’re wasting time. Use your analytics to double down on what works and cut what doesn’t.
